After
David Ortiz slugged his
second HR off
David Price in the eighth inning on Saturday, the Sox DH stood in the box for a few moments to see if the towering blast down the right-field line would be fair or foul. From Price's perspective is was styling—unnecessarily pimping a HR. To be honest, sitting in Section 25 of the Fenway grandstands, it was a no-doubter from the moment it left the bat—
way back into the Boston night. We didn't think for a
moment that it was foul. But, to be fair, Papi was
not sitting in our 1912 cramped wooden seats and therefore had a quite different perspective. In any event,
Papi and Price have patched things up and everything is hunky-dory again. Said Ortiz,
"It's over. We straightened things out. I have a lot of respect for David and he has the same for me. I'm not going to make a big deal out of this. I understand his frustration." Uh-huh.
