Mike Matheny made it official this afternoon—
Allen Craig will be on the team's World Series roster. Craig has been sidelined with an injured foot since September 4th, but has been working out over the last several days. It's likely that Craig will serve as the Redbirds DH in the first two games at Fenway Park—and probably come off the bench as a pinch-hitter in St. Louis. During the regular season, Craig was one of the most productive hitters in the Cardinals lineup—hitting .315 with 97 RBIs in just 134 games. This is a
huge plus for St. Louis and could significantly impact the outcome of the series.
