Your Boston Red Sox have won six of their last seven games coming from behind. Last night, their 27th comeback win of 2013 was
a 7-5 win over the hapless Astros. The two big blows were a 2-run HR by
Jonny Gomes in the seventh and a three-run HR by
Stephen Drew in the top of the ninth. Not exactly a "walk-off", but it was their 18th win in their last at-bat.
David Ortiz had his second 4-hit game in a row. While the game saw another forgettable
Ryan Dempster start,
Koji Uehara pitched an effective ninth for his 11th save. Boston moves on to Kansas City, with a 2 1/2 game edge in the AL East.
