the Red Sox have called up phenom Xander Bogaerts—who will join the team on the West Coast trip today. This long overdue move should inject the team with some excitement after a bit of a lethargic stretch. Bogaerts hit .284 with AAA Pawtucket over the last 60 games and is likely to see playing time at both shortstop and third base.
