One lousy win over
The Evil Ones might prove costly to the
Carmine Hose. In the eighth inning yesterday, the heart and soul of the ballclub—
Dustin Pedroia—fouled a ball off his left ankle and ended up missing the ninth inning. The injury was eerily similar to one he suffered in June of 2010—that ultimately led to season-ending ankle surgery. X-Rays came back negative, but reports of
The Muddy Chicken limping out of the clubhouse send shivers down the collective spine of
The Nation. Hopefully,
John Farrell can convince
The Laser Show to sit out a couple of games. He came back for a few games—probably too soon—in 2010. Stay tuned.
