OK, be honest, did you go to sleep when
Felix Hernandez had a 7-1 lead on the Red Sox going into the eighth inning? The 2013 Carmine Hose are proving that you can never go to sleep on them, scoring once in the eighth and six times in the ninth to
beat Seattle with their 11th walk-off win, 8-7.
Daniel Nava capped the rally with a single off the center field wall that plated the winning run. Key hits by
Ryan Lavarnway,
Brock Holt,
Dustin Pedroia and
Jonny Gomes preceded the game-winner.
Stephen Wright collected the win—the rest of his victories are scattered across the other ballparks of America (
extremely obscure reference alert). So, please, don't go to sleep on these guys—or at least set your DVR to "record".
