Multiple reports suggest that whether the Red Sox make a deal to get
Matt Garza is highly dependent on how they see the
immediate future of
Clay Buchholz. If their ace right-hander continues to struggle with a bizarre neck/shoulder injury (he hasn't pitched since June 8th), then they will hotly pursue their former AL East pitching rival.
Garza has been told in no uncertain terms that he will be traded, it's just a matter of what his destination will be. Other suitors include Texas, Cleveland and St. Louis. Stay tuned!
