The players must have heard all the talk about a 'power shortage' in the Red Sox lineup. Last night, no such shortage existed as
David Ortiz,
Dustin Pedroia,
Mike Napoli,
Jackie Bradley, Jr. and
Shane Victorino all went deep in
an 11-8 bounce-back victory for Boston. Two promising young starters were anything but, as both Boston's
Allen Webster (7 ERs) and Seattle's
Hisashi Iwakuma (8 ERs) didn't make it out of the early rounds in this heavyweight bout. The beleaguered bullpen delivered 6 2/3 innings giving up just one earned run. One more game in Seattle tonight and then Boston moves on to Oakland for the final three games of the pre-All-Star Game road trip.
