Forget the Fourth of July. It was much more like "Labor" Day for
Jon Lester. The lefty
labored through five brutal innings—and ended up yielding five earned runs. It didn't help that the Red Sox offense was again held in check—this time by the amazing
Felix Hernandez in
an 11-4 loss. So, the Carmine Hose have dropped three in a row—including Saturday's
Nightmare On LaLa Street. The triumphant 8-1 homestand is a distant memory now, as their AL East lead is just 3.5 games over surging Tampa Bay. Look out below!
