What the heck happened to that AL East lead? It's those pesky Rays—winners of 14 of their last 15—who have pushed the Red Sox to the brink. After
Monday's 3-0 whitewashing by young lefty ace Matt Moore, the Rays are just one-half game off the pace—and are poised to overtake the Carmine Hose tomorrow night. The Red Sox managed just two hits against Moore, who mowed down the prodigious Boston offense with deadly precision. Essentially, we had no chance of winning this game. Poor young
Brandon Workman. After a few shaky moments, the kid again pitched well—going six strong innings and giving up just two earned runs. Moore was that much better—really
too good. Tip your hat.
