Lost in all the hoopla over the
Ryan Braun suspension and the dominant performance of
Matt Moore was the fact that
Clay Buchholz came away from his visit with Dr. James Andrews with a clean bill of health. The eminent arm expert agreed with the team's view that Buchholz is suffering from nothing more than inflammation in his collarbone area. Red Sox manager
John Farrell gently prodded the right-hander in the way that only Farrell can,
"I think that assurance of [knowing] the discomfort he's feeling is not injury-related -- it's more about getting back into game shape -- I would think there would be more of a readiness on his part to push through that." You think? Buchholz will now resume his "throwing program". Your guess is as good as ours (or the Red Sox for that matter) when he will pitch in anger again.
