With an impending decision on
Shane Victorino's status, it seems likely that
Jackie Bradley, Jr. will be back with the big club as soon as Thursday night's game in Toronto. The Red Sox have to decide quickly whether or not to put Victorino on the 15-day DL with nagging back problems.
Mike Carp has done a nice fill-in job in left, and both
Jonny Gomes and
Daniel Nava could help. But this would give Bradley a
far less pressured opportunity to show that what he did in Spring Training wasn't a fluke.
