As exasperating as this weekend's negative sweep at Arlington was, Red Sox fans have to keep things in perspective. This website has often been criticized for being too negative (like when we predicted a fourth place finish this year), but even
we have to join in the effort to talk fans back off the ledge. Come on. They're still in first place. They're tied for the best record in baseball. They're about to play the Twinkies four times at home. Chill! Moreover, take a look at this FenwayNation posting from
exactly one year ago. All you need to know is the title,
"Sox Are Bit Players In Theater Of The Absurd". As we said then,
"This team seems destined for unimaginable ignominy in 2012." Face it, it could be a
lot worse.
