Pedro Ciriaco—who had replaced an injured
Will Middlebrooks. On a slick sliding play, Middlebrooks collided with catcher
David Ross who
also left the game hurt. So, in the course of two days, Boston has suffered the injury bug with
Andrew Bailey (DL) and
Joel Hanrahan (DL) along with Middlebrooks and Ross. Yikes!
