Early returns to our most recent
FenwayNation Poll show it's pretty much a toss-up between
Koji Uehara (50%) and
Junichi Tazawa (41%) as the preferred new closer. But that may be moot considering that manager
John Farrell told MLB Network Radio today that he prefers closing with Tazawa. Farrell went on to say that he thinks Uehara is better suited to the eight-inning set-up role. We shall see—maybe as early as tonight.
