The Editors Of
FenwayNation have named Red Sox pitcher
Craig Breslow as their
2013 'First Citizen' for his numerous charitable efforts. Breslow—a native New Englander—founded the
Strike Three Foundation in 2008 which "heightens awareness, mobilizes support, and raises funding for childhood cancer research." The left-hander was well on his way to a medical career when he was drafted by the Brewers and started his MLB career. His foundation has awarded grants to numerous hospitals and cancer foundations over the years. We salute Craig and are proud to give him this honor. You can find out more about Craig's foundation
