The Red Sox sent troubled reliever Daniel Bard back to AA after Sunday's win—paving the way for the activation of
Joel Hanrahan from the disabled list. Bard was again ineffective in this big league stint and obviously needs a lot more work at lower levels. The excellent bullpen work of
Alex Wilson also made Bard's ticket to Portland more affordable.
