The Red Sox placed injured starter John Lackey on the 15-day disabled list today—retroactive to April 7th. The injury is listed as a right biceps strain. To fill the roster spot, the team recalled right-hander
Alex Wilson from AAA Pawtucket. Lackey left his first start of 2013 in the fifth inning—after pitching relatively effectively. He is recovering from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. Wilson is 22-14 over five minor league seasons.
