Don't look now, Red Sox fans, but your first baseman leads the majors in RBIs.
Mike Napoli clouted a towering grand slam into the frigid Fenway night leading the Carmine Hose to
a 9-6 win over the slumping Athletics. Napoli's fourth career grand slam plated four of his five RBIs on the night, giving him 25 on the season.
Will Middlebrooks broke out of his doldrums with a laser-like three-run homer into the Monster Seats.
Felix Doubront was his
"yin-yang" self again, unhittable at times and completely undisciplined at other times. The lefty seems to lose focus in certain innings and is unable to find the plate. Nevertheless, he struck out eight in 6 2/3 innings to get the win. Puzzling.
