Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino appeared this morning on WEEI's Dennis & Callahan Morning Show, and offered some good news about John Lackey. Lucchino stated, "My information is incomplete, but my understanding of the MRI is that he had a mid-biceps strain, no structural damage...So, we’re going to have to wait and see. I think he’s certainly going to miss a start or two, I’m told. Let’s hope it’s not much more than that." So, the team's appears to have dodged a major bullet—considering how well Lackey was pitching up to the point of the injury. Now, the Red Sox will have to decide how to back fill for Lackey over his next couple of scheduled starts. The main options are Alfredo Aceves or bringing up phenom Allen Webster.
