The injuries to
David Ortiz,
Stephen Drew and
Franklin Morales remain—basically—
unchanged. Morales received an epidural injection to relieve the bulging disc in his back. No date has been set for when Morales can even
throw. Drew will get more tests today and is still suffering from concussion symptoms. Word is it will be "a few days" before he even gets back on a field. Ortiz is still in that 5-7 day "shutdown" window. He
could take batting practice on Monday of next week. So, essentially, nothing has changed on all three. With exactly 17 days until Opening Day, these three injuries to key players are
extremely troubling.
