| The Crooner 'At Fenway' |
Brian Evans, a Sinatra wannabee crooner, must possess 8X10 glossies of Liverpool football players in compromising positions. What other reason would Red Sox owners allow him full reign of Fenway Park last September to make the hideous new music video called
"At Fenway"? To get the full measure of the awfulness of this thing, you have to
view it yourself. We really don't want to spoil it for you, but suffice it to say that there are cameos by
William Shatner (as the umpire) and
Ernie Boch, Jr. (as Red Sox manager). Think of it as
Captain Kirk meets
Captain Beefheart. Apparently, Evans thinks this monstrosity will become the new "Sweet Caroline". Not bloody likely. Especially with cheesy lyrics like,
"No matter where you sit, you're in heaven for a little bit." Mr. Evans has clearly not visited my obstructed view seats.
