The Pinstriped Posers (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) defeated the Red Sox 4-0 this afternoon at the Concrete Bunker South in Tampa.
Felix Doubront gave up four runs in a very shaky second inning, and Boston could only muster four hits on the day (
two by
Jackie Bradley, Jr.).
Andrew Bailey,
Joel Hanrahan,
Clayton Mortensen and
Andrew Miller pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings after Doubront departed. Some guy named
"Kevin Youkilis" was 0 for 4. However, the most amazing fact of all was that a Red Sox-Yankee game was finished in 2 hours and 17 minutes.
