What if we told you that Red Sox shortstop phenom
Jose Iglesias would make an error
and hit a two-run homer? Believe it or not, that happened today in
Boston's 4-3 loss to a split-squad version of the Tampa Bay Rays.
John Lackey loaded the bases with no outs in the first, but ended up yielding just one run, and the Red Sox—for most of the day—seemed like a punchless outfit at the plate. Ironically, it was Iglesias who ignited the offense. Anyway, it's just Game One. On to tomorrow—which, of course, will
not be televised.
