the Red Sox are limiting Mike Napoli to "hitting" in the early stages of Spring Training. They will restrict Napoli from "any activity that involves any hard impact or pounding." Assuming a positive MRI later this week, they will—according to manager
John Farrell— "start to introduce more baseball activities, including the defensive side." Again, we can't make this stuff up.
