According to the
Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo,
the Red Sox are looking for trades that would yield them a left-hand hitting first baseman and/or outfielder. Presumably, these acquisitions would complement the right-hand hitting tandem of
Jonny 'That's How I Spell It' Gomes and
Mike 'What Is Hip?' Napoli. Of course, the Napoli deal is still up in the air—supposedly "close" to being re-worked into a shorter-term pact by next week. We'll see.
