nine Red Sox players filed for salary arbitration on Tuesday—although the process for all nine will likely be a formality. The players were pitchers
Alfredo Aceves,
Andrew Bailey,
Daniel Bard,
Craig Breslow,
Joel Hanrahan,
Andrew Miller, and
Franklin Morales. Two positional players filed—
Jacoby Ellsbury and
Jarrod Saltalamacchia. If a player and the team do not agree on terms, a hearing before a three-person panel will be held beginning on February 1st.
