In an abrupt move made for personal reasons, long-time
Red Sox bullpen coach Gary Tuck has resigned from the team. While Tuck had health problems early last season, it is not known if this action is health-related as well. Tuck had gained a solid reputation as a vital piece of the coaching staff—nurturing the relationship between pitchers and catchers for years. He is widely regarded as the best bullpen coach in all of baseball. Tuck was the only holdover from the 2012 coaching staff. It will be interesting to see if this is an
actual retirement or if Tuck hooks on with another club. Hello, Mistake by the Lake!
