The Baseball Bloggers Alliance (BBA)—of which FenwayNation is a member—has selected Jeff Bagwell as their only selection for the Hall Of Fame. Bagwell—the former Red Sox minor leaguer—was chosen on 76% of the ballots.
Craig Biggio and
Mike Piazza finished tied for second—each with 69%.
Barry Bonds got 62% support, while
Roger Clemens received 56%.
Curt Schilling was chosen on 34% of the ballots. Bagwell, who never actually played for Boston at the major league level, clouted 449 home runs in his career and over 2,300 hits. The Boston native spent his entire big league career with the Houston Astros.
