Now the Red Sox know how the Evil Ones have felt all this off-season.
Ryan Dempster has turned down Boston's 2-year, $25 million offer, and is reportedly still seeking a three-year deal from someone else. The Red Sox offer is similar to the Kansas City offer that was also spurned by Dempster. To date, the Red Sox have yet to address their most critical off-season need—getting starting pitching that will prevent them from again having the 27th ranked pitching staff in baseball.
