Former Northeastern Husky and Red Sox first baseman
Carlos Pena will stay in the American League in 2013.
Pena signed a one-year, $2.9 million contract with the Houston Astros of the American League West. He can make an extra $1.4 million in incentives as well. Last year, on his second stint with the Rays, he only hit .197 with 19 home runs. Let's hope the Haverhill native does well this year—in all his non-Red Sox match-ups.
