Multiple reports suggest that
the Red Sox are planning to address a long-term contract extension for Dustin Pedroia this Winter. The Laser Show has two years remaining on his existing contract, but the Red Sox feel—correctly in our view—that they need to make a longer-term commitment to their second baseman. While other issues may be addressed first this off-season (like the multiple holes in the roster), the issue will be dealt with before the new season starts.
