As an indication of how far the mighty have fallen,
the Tampa Rays announced that eight of their nine 2013 games against the Red Sox would no longer be priced in their top-tiered "Diamond and Platium" ticket levels. In the past, if you wanted to see the Red Sox play in the
LotsOfPulpDome, you had to shell out a bundle (at least by Tampa standards). No longer! To see the last-place Red Sox, you need only pay at "Gold or Silver" levels in 2013. Who knows? Maybe by 2014, Red Sox games will be demoted to the "Cubic Zirconium" level.
