No More Fenway Bat-Flips? |
According to
ESPN's Buster Olney,
Cody Ross was looking for a 3-year, $25 million deal from the Red Sox. That works out to a little more than $8 million a year—or a $5 million raise over the $3 million paid him in 2012. Considering his contribution to the team and his clear ability to thrive in the Boston market, that seems like a pretty reasonable request. The Red Sox, however, have essentially let him walk—the result is that we need
two new outfielders in 2013.
