As the
Globe's Peter Abraham points out,
the Red Sox have used the disabled list more than any team in baseball since they began keeping records on this stuff. Last year alone, they lost 1,495 games to injury (24 players on the DL 34 times). So, it should come as no surprise that the team has
again re-shuffled its medical staff. They've named both a new
Medical Director and a new
Coordinator of Sports Medicine Services. Too bad the team isn't located in a region with top-notch medical facilities. Uh, never mind.
