David Ortiz says he might skip the incredibly stupid and disruptive World Baseball Classic. The WBC exhibition has resulted in numerous injuries in the past—including Red Sox players
Dustin Pedroia,
Kevin Youkilis and
Daisuke Matsuzaka. Apparently, Ortiz has already discussed the possibility of avoiding the WBC with Ben Cherington and the NOG. Good for them. With Papi's Achilles injury on the mend, the last thing he needs is to push it in March at this dumb event.
