Former Yankee Skipper
Joe Torre pulled himself out of the running for the Red Sox manager's spot yesterday while at the ALCS in New York. Torre, who currently works in the Commissioner's Office, clearly denied rumors about his interest in the job: “I don’t know where that came from. Certainly not my camp.” After 29 years of managing, it seems unlikely that Torre would leave his relatively cushy position in MLB management for what promises to be a circus in Beantown over the next couple of years.
