A Heart-Warming Buddyship

It would be very difficult for Boston fans to find two more contemptible athletes than Kobe Bryant and Alex Rodriguez. We don't even have to go into the multitude of reasons why both of them deserve each other. In fact, they are apparently good buddies—having met on the set of a commercial (gee, big surprise there). Anyway, after Kobe led his team to a pre-season loss to Utah, he began commiserating with his bench-riding $30 million soul mate. Said 'Kompassionate Kobe':

"You can only control what you can control. You go out there and do the best job you can. If they take you out of the lineup, it's really on you to be a good teammate and support the other guys, which he's good about doing."

Yeah. You know, it so good to see two humble, exemplary athletes connect like this. It does your heart good, doesn't it? On a related note, here's hoping we will all be joining the great Eddie Andleman in celebrating Yankee Elimination Day later this evening.
