Country Singers Will Now Invade Fenway Park

Porter Wagoner (We Think)
Honestly, if I bumped into Jason Aldean at the local Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (where I assume he would hang out), I would not know him from Porter Wagoner (see pic). Apparently, he's a 'country and western' star who will defile Fenway Park next July 13th. Is the NOG serious? Don't they know that Bostonians (for the most part) are not big fans of The Grand Ole Opry? Sure, a few folks in New Hampshire like NASCAR, but I don't think we're all that big into songs that talk about dying dogs and broken down pick-up trucks. But, maybe I'm just an old 'you-know-what' who is out-of-step with the modern world. After all, Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney apparently sold our Gillette Stadium in the not-too-distant past. I do know Taylor Swift, but I have no clue who this Chesney dude is. Isn't foreign soccer at Fenway Park bad enough? Do we also have to put up with people who appear on something called Country Music Television. Yeesh!
