Omar Vizquel is 45 years old. He's had a brilliant career, but—come on—he should a bench coach at this point. Nevertheless, the old geezer was able to loft two sacrifice flys—one the game-winner in the 9th—in
a 4-3 Red Sox loss at Fenway.
Dustin Pedroia and
Jacoby Ellsbury each homered, but it was a series of cheap "Jeter-esque" hits through vacated infield spots that scored three of the Toronto runs in the 5th—and that was the difference in an otherwise good outing by
Clay Buchholz. Now, the Red Sox are two full games behind the
Blue Jay Juggernaut—deep in the cellar of the AL East.
