MLB has announced an investigation into the homophobic slur written in Yunel Escobar's eye black during Saturday's game against the Red Sox in Toronto. You can't make this stuff up, folks. Apparently, the statement was written in Spanish (“TU ERE MARICON” see pic) and translates into a bizarre slur against gays. The Commissioner's Office is conducting the inquiry. The Blue Jays released the following statement: “[We] do not support discrimination of any kind nor condone the message displayed by Yunel Escobar during Saturday’s game.”
