Red Sox starter John Lackey will begin throwing batting practice on Saturday. OK, this is
way too easy:
Wasn't that what he was throwing all last year? But seriously, folks, the big right-hander is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is actually making more rapid progress than anticipated. If, in 2013, he can approximate the pitcher he was before coming to Boston, he has the chance to be a real contributor to the rotation.
