L.A. Media Comparing A-Gon To J.D. Drew

The self-promotional T.J. Simers of the Los Angeles Times (thank goodness we don't have writers like that in Boston!), recently compared Adrian Gonzalez to J.D. Drew. Wow—talk about your scathing insults! Well, think about it, though. Both lefties had stints in Boston and La-La land, and both have—shall we say—subdued personalities. It seems the "cool" demeanor of A-Gon is starting to rankle even the comatose fan base in Southern California. Of course, hitting .240 in his first 15 games doesn't help. But, apparently, the animus is running deeper than just stats. The Prodigal SoCal Son is not feeling the love. But, J.D. Drew? Come on! The Ted Williams statue at the intersection of Ipswich and Van Ness has more passion than J.D. Drew!
