Bobby Valentine can't seem to keep controversy from knocking at his door. On Friday, he stated that his current Red Sox team has
"the weakest roster we've ever had in September in the history of baseball." Wow. That's quite a statement—even for Bobby. Honesty is certainly an admirable attribute, but this is hardly the time to be throwing your own players under the bus. This whole debacle is not solely his fault, but the cumulative effect of his style of leadership has not helped. He needs to go at the end of the year.
