Is your team languishing in last place? Has your young starter lost six consecutive decisions? Does one of your stars need to be propelled into the HR title chase?
Please come to Boston for the Summer. The Red Sox managed to come back home to Fenway and obligingly sink into a last place tie with their opponent—the Toronto Blue Jays. After falling behind 5-0, Boston did make an effort to get back in the game (home runs by Dustin Pedroia and Mauro Gomez), but pitching again proved fatal. Felix Doubront was foregettable—delivering just four innings and giving up five earned runs. And once the Red Sox got close, the ruined Daniel Bard hurled one inning and gave up the two deciding runs
in a 7-5 loss. Mercy. Mercy. Mercy.
