Ross Slated For 3-Year Deal |
According to the Globe's Nick Cafardo,
the Red Sox are very interested in signing Cody Ross to a long-term deal once he becomes a free agent at the end of the year. Ross was signed to a one-year, $3-million deal with Boston and has hit .272 with 18 HRs and 60 RBIs so far this year. Last year, in 81 games, J.D. Drew hit .222 with 4 HRs and 22 RBIs and Josh Reddick hit .280 with 7 HRs in 87 games. So, by any measure, Ross has been a bargain. The speculation is that he will get "Josh Willingham Money" (3 years, $21 million).
