Red Sox Get Something From Twins, At Least

The Red Sox acquired Twins third baseman Danny Valencia in exchange for minor league outfielder Jeremias Pineda. The Red Sox had placed a waiver claim on Valencia and he cleared the process.

Valencia placed third in the 2010 American League 'Rookie Of The Year' balloting—but has tailed off badly since then and lost his job this year to Trevor Plouffe. Pineda in a 21-year old with limited big league potential.
