Talk about not being clear on the concept! In the wake of Boston's hideous series-opening loss in Baltimore,
David Ortiz suggested that Jeff Passan's Yahoo! Sports story about players trashing Bobby Valentine at a player-ownership meeting was a distraction to the team. The implication is that the story had an impact on their level of play on the field. Said Ortiz:
"That came out this afternoon about that situation and next thing you know you have guys that have to deal with a baseball game thinking about the [expletive]. That's [expletive]."
It's hard to believe that anything could make this edition of the Carmine Hose any more unlikeable—but Papi may have done it.
