As expected,
David Ortiz got an injection of a local anesthetic in his ailing Achilles tendon on Monday. The plan is for the designated hitter to take things "day to day" and possibly accompany the Red Sox on their upcoming road trip starting Thursday. Visions of the following line-up are still dancing in our heads:
