Here We Come! |
Call it bravado, call it hubris, call it naivete. Whatever. On
WEEI's Dennis & Callahan Morning Show this morning, Red Sox manager
Bobby Valentine asserted that his was a "playoff" team. When challenged that the Carmine Hose would have to go 34-17 just to get to 89 wins, he went on:
"...we can do better than that. I don't think that's so optimistic..." Valentine also tried to downplay
SnitchGate II by denying that any player went "up the back stairs" to ownership to drop a dime on him. So, all is wonderful on Yawkey Way. No big deal. Headed to the playoffs. PLAYOFFS!!!???!!!
